Cookie Policy
This website sets no cookies. This page explains what that means, and discloses the two requests that do leave your browser.
1. We do not use cookies
This website sets no cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for preferences, not for anything. It stores nothing in your browser’s local storage or session storage either.
That is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.
2. No tracking
We run no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no heatmaps and no session recording. We do not know who visits this site, we do not build profiles, and we do not share visit data with anyone.
3. What does leave your browser
Honesty about cookies is worth little without disclosing the rest, so: reading this site contacts nobody but our own web host. Our typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is not disclosed to a third party merely to render text.
Exactly one request goes to a third party, and only if you choose to make it: submitting an enquiry form sends its contents to Web3Forms, which relays them to our inbox as email. Nothing is sent unless you press the button.
Our web host also records standard server logs, including IP addresses, as any web server does. We neither access nor use them.
4. Why there is no consent banner
Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive — the rule the banners exist for — requires consent before storing information on, or gaining access to information already stored on, a visitor’s device. We do neither, so there is nothing to seek consent for and asking would be theatre.
The same applies under the DPDP Act, 2023: nothing is placed on your device, so no notice or consent arises for it.
5. If this changes
If we ever add analytics or any technology that stores data on your device, we will update this page first, and ask for consent where consent is required. We will not add tracking quietly.
